MP-Squared Becomes Madison Area’s Second-Largest Employer of Structural Engineers
As of May 2026, MP-Squared Structural Engineers ranks as the second-largest employer of structural engineers in the Madison area, based on a review of publicly available company information. The structural team recently welcomed Richa Dutta Rakhee, EIT, structural designer, and Jeckson Hernandez, structural technician.
Key facts:
• Madison structural engineering firm MP-Squared was founded in 2005 by Mark Puccio and Melissa Peyton and currently has 17 employees, including 12 structural engineers.
• The firm employs one of the highest rates of female engineers to total engineers in the area.
• Richa Dutta Rakhee, EIT, has a master’s in civil engineering, with a specialization in structural engineering, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her background encompasses both building design and bridge engineering.
• Jeckson Hernandez graduated from Madison College with an associate degree in civil engineering technology and has experience in the metal fabrication industry.
