SERVICES: Historic rehab—structural condition evaluation and repairs

Formerly a casket factory, this historic building was converted into an apartment building with 62 affordable housing units. Originally built in 1872, the building became blighted since its occupation and was damaged by a fire in 2020.

MP-Squared evaluated the structural condition of the three-story building, analyzing the strength of existing structural elements as well as providing details for repairs and strengthening.

Original factory flooring, exposed bricks and other features of the factory were incorporated into the design and construction of the apartments and shared spaces.
